Hand Held Thermometer Probes
PT100/RTD Resistance Thermometer Probes
We supply a wide range of fully interchangeable 3-wire PT100 (platinum
resistance) probes designed to meet today's customer requirements. Probes
with additional lead lengths can be manufactured, on request, to a maximum
of 100 metres. As standard, hand held PT100 probes are supplied with a
hexagonal or T-shaped handle where appropriate and one metre straight PVC
lead with a 'Binder' connector.

These
robust, stainless steel, penetration probes incorporate a T-shaped blue
polyethylene handle. The strong and durable penetration probes are
suitable for a wide variety of heavy duty applications including food
processing, asphalt, blacktop, grain etc.

Platinum Resistance Probes
Platinum
Resistance Probes (PT100) are high accuracy probes which exhibit a change in
resistance with a change of temperature. High purity platinum wire is used
to produce the resistance thermometer detectors (RTD). Platinum resistance
probes cover a wide temperature range but generally, the response times are
slower than thermocouples. PT100 probes tend to be larger and are not
particularly suitable for the measurement of surface temperatures. Our
standard PT100 platinum probes use a three wire configuration to eliminate
the effects of cable resistance variations.
