Measurement and Data Logging.
A wireless, easy to use, automatic and tamper proof data recording system that our customers appreciate because "it simply works as specified".
IceSpy® is a well-proven product range for measuring, transmitting and logging temperature, humidity, pressure and many other parameters automatically with high accuracy and reliability.
IceSpy® loggers can be used as part of GMP and due diligence systems, complying with legislation such as European food and hygiene standards, International Drugs Authority requirements, 21CFR Part 11 and ISO9001/2000.
A typical System5 is comprised of a number of SCOUT Sensors measuring and logging temperature, humidity, door opening events and other parameters. The data logged is transmitted to a BASE Unit (via ECHOs if necessary) where out-of-boundary alarms can be activated both locally and remotely. The BASE Unit automatically (if required, in real-time) transfers the data to a PC.
The PC software archives the data and alarm status for all monitoring points. Data can be viewed graphically or in a table. Alarm levels and destinations can be changed, monitoring points named and alarm status viewed. All changes can be automatically audited. Data can also be viewed remotely via the internet or local intranet.

- Automatically transfers data by low-power radio link to BASE (sensor name, time, date and measurement)
- Data stored / logged in battery-backed data storage unit: allows for recovery of data in case of temporary absence of BASE
- No practical limit of number of points of measurement in an installed system (limited only by PC server capabilities)
- Temperature Accuracy (internal sensor) +/-0.5°C between -40°C and +70°C

- Clock accuracy: +/- 2 seconds per day.

BASE and BASEPLUS
- BASE: Storage device – interfaces with PC only
- BASEPLUS: Storage device – user and PC interface
- Automatically collects data transmitted by SCOUTs
- Open-site transmitter range (per single ‘jump’) of up to 1000 metres
- By making use of ‘ECHO’ repeater units, no limit on practical radio range as long as mains power is available at repeater points
- Temporarily remote (out-of-radio-range) measurements can be downloaded on request when measurement unit is back in range
- No data loss during periods of power-down: backup batteries provide secure and consistent records for extended periods
- System provides indication of signal strengths and routing information through all radio links
- Subsequent transfer of data automatically to permanent and incorruptible (PC) storage by any of the following:-
▪Ethernet ▪RS232 ▪USB ▪Modem (fixed land telephone line) ▪Radio modem (GSM / GPRS networks)
- Compatible with earlier IceSpy point-of-measurement transmitters (RL-TT, MR-T etc)

Alarms
- All points of measurement can have one or more (time dependant) upper and lower alarm limit settings
- All points of measurement can have alarm delay time set
- Option of one-shot (single alarm per alarm event) or repeat (snooze) alarms
- Option of alarm if communication link(s) fail
- Option of notification of end of alarm events
- Relaying of remote alarms (by email or text message) to different personnel for each zone
- Relaying of alarms can be inhibited at settable time during the week
- Relaying of alarms to different personnel depending on time of week
- Alarms can be acknowledged by keying password (PIN) into BASEPLUS or remotely from PC
- Alarms relayed during periods of power down (provided that complete communication channel has backup power)
- Optional outputs to building management systems and/or 4-20mA control loops
PC Software
Changes (e.g. alarm settings) via user-friendly interface, by authorised users only
- User-friendly data views based on previous IceSpy products
- Additional access to view data via web browser
- Access to current data, and historical data
- All points of measurement can be allocated into logical named groups (zones) for viewing and alarm purposes
- Central server storage, using SQL database, allowing client users to access data with privileges defined by Administrator
